Thirsty Bug?
Seeing as how with every update there seems to be some abnormality, I thought maybe this was a result of the most recent one.
Mission going normally, we get to the final 3 bosses. Kill the monk first, then swing around to kill the warrior. Then... the mission was done when the warrior boss died. We didn't go near the ranger team, but the mission just ended with it being complete.
Haven't had a chance to try and reproduce the situation, but if anyone is looking to see if they can trigger the same thing we had 5 humans and Reyna in the group. We had a Scroll of Slayer's Insight that died out before Josso's death. Think we were at the... 6 minute mark on the warrior, not entirely sure since we just all of a sudden were done I wasn't paying much attention to it.

I don't remember the exacts of our team, but me and some guildies were helping a guildmate with this mission. At the end we killed the warrior boss first then did the monk boss, and it suddenly ends without even engaging the rangers group.
This was some time back around the time of the pvp weekend event I think.

I've seen it where a while back we killed off the group on the right and then went over to the Monk Group. While fighting that group someone aggro'd the last group and as soon as we finished off all the guys in the Monk area the mission finished. I was told at the time some use that strategy to purposely aggro the Monk and group next to them and let them fight.

I run this mission with my Nec...if you kill the monk boss and the priest really quickly and relatively at the same time it seems to trigger the mission end...or maybe it's random but it's happened about 6/50+ runs so I can't really control it but I always do the priest second now.
And yes the groups will fight each other.

I was just in thirsty, and the group of us, 4, did both mission and bonus, but none of us saw the bonus shield pop up and it never stated it in our quest log. After the mission ended, and we had to kill all bosses, only half of us got the bonus. That sucks.

The bonus in Thirsty is to kill the final 3 groups in a certain (but unspecified) amount of time (before the spirit of a king dies). It's fairly easy if you don't have any major screw ups. Everyone should have gotten it if someone did.

I just did the exact same thing and got the exact same result. I went with a full hench group consisting of Orion, Alesia, Claude, Lina and Stefan. Got to the last area with the three bosses, went left and killed the monk boss, came back and killed the warrior boss on the right. Immediately after finishing the warrior team (the boss was last to die), the bonus shield came up, a cutscene ensued (which I skipped), and I was teleported to Augury. I never touched the ranger team. The timer was around 6-7 minutes I think. Thankfully I got the mission sword as well as the bonus one, so I'm a happy camper (especially since I got mission & bonus without doing all of the work).

i had same problem a while back. come to find out one of the warriors kinda soloed the priests so it kinda skipped us to cut scene

I have had this happen to me 2 of the last three times I did the mission.
Killed Warrior boss on the left first then did the monk boss and the mission and bonus completed without going near the ranger.
When we went and did Warriror then Ranger it didn't end and let us kill the monk boss.
What is the deal with this spirit of the King thing anyway? I've never not gotten the bonus here and have never seen the king they are talking about. I assume the time limit is within 10 minutes for the third part?

i often "solo" thirsty mission+bonus for money, and the number of times that either the spirit is nowhere to be seen, or that he gets mobbed ro something yet everytime the bonus gets completed, its odd because im never too sure. i may have to start doing monk then warrior see if that ends the mission :P

that happened to me some months ago... in the 3rd stage we went left for the priest and then to the other side to rip that monk boss apart.. the second we killed him the cutscene came, rewarding bonus and mission xp.
it did that a few times but lately i have to fight the last group as well.
i tried to force this bug to appear but with no luck yet, well i didn't really put that much time into it - it's easy enough ^_^

The ghost for the bonus spawns in the middle. The bonus is to beat all 3 teams before he "leaves". Now typically, he just dies when all 3 teams come out of their start area and make it down to him. However, dying is not leaving, so you can still get the bonus.
I'm wondering if the early completions are due to one of the teams beating the other team while you face the third team. The enemy teams will fight each other, if given the chance.

This bugs been around for a while. First time I tried Thirsy, in November had this happen. Full group of henchmen, just opened the door to the final 3 bosses and the quest log to see what groups I still had to kill.
The ranger boss's team was crossed off even before I engaged any of the other ones. Just my experience.
